5 Points Model Management Review
Although 5 Points Model Management is one of many VS Media studios, they do provide some personal attention for models who need it. When you sign up with 5 Points, you are assigned a personal talent agent who is available to mentor and advise you at any point along the way.
Application Process
When I submitted my test application, it was approved within 2 days of my uploading the required documentation and photos with ID. It was very straightforward.
Training/Support
I received a welcome email with everything I would need to get started: Performer Handbook, Performer Application download link, and all the contact info for my talent agent in case I needed any help.
Model Interface
The performer site is easy to navigate and fairly intuitive once you get used to it, although there are a lot of options in the drop down menus. I guess you would get used to it.
Software
The Performer Application is a desktop application for Windows users. Mac users have access to a web based platform. You just launch it, log in, turn on the camera, then enter your chat room. Since I started using it, my software has crashed a handful of times while they were doing updates. I’ve never had any real problems with it otherwise, and it’s pretty easy to get used to.
Traffic
They promise that your start-up traffic will be decent while you are promoted in the New Models category. Then it would go through phases, but as long as you keep consistent hours you’ll build a loyal fan base that you can count on. A few beggars pass through occasionally, but it’s easy to ignore, silence, boot or ban them as needed.
Commission
The base commission rate starts at 26.67% and goes up to 30% depending on your earnings, and clients on this network generally pay between $6 to $9/minute for private shows. I find it adds up pretty quickly. There are also daily bonuses and other incentives ranging from $50 to $1000s and luxury resort vacations (damn my laziness lol). And of course customers can tip you anytime if they like you.
The ads for 5 Points say you can earn up to $400+ daily, which I’ll admit makes me skeptical. It most likely won’t happen right away, but it is possible with some hard work and determination.
Payment Processing
Minimum payout is $50, and you have the option to set it higher if you want. Payment options include: check in the mail, direct deposit, Payoneer, Paxum. I prefer Payoneer personally; they just send you a prepaid debit card and 5 Points loads your money onto it every 2 weeks.

I recommend 5 Points Model Management for models who want to work for a studio instead of a cam site company directly.
Comments or questions? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Hi Angie,
LOVE your website. How would you compare 5PMM to signing up directly for sites such as IMlive, MFC, etc. ? It seems to me that the amount of support you receive far outweighs any “cut” in pay you would receive. Maybe even better quality members? Would love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks!
Hi Madison,
Thanks for your comment! Unlike so many studios out there that offer no real value and take a cut anyway, 5 Points gets paid directly by VS Media and doesn’t take a cut of your pay when you sign up through them.
For the highest payout though, I recommend InternetModeling.com which pays 70% without chargebacks, minimums or any strings attached.
I’ve yet to check out MFC (I know, I’m lazy lol) so unfortunately can’t comment there. I was actually pretty impressed with ImLive for the very short time that I spent there. However, I only spent a short time there because they start off all new models with the huge limitation of only being able to charge $0.99/min (standard rates are $6/min with 5 Points and I didn’t notice any significant difference in number or quality of members).
Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions, and thanks for stopping by!
Cheers, Angie
Hey angie, I’m in the process of signing up for 5 points (thanks to you!) and I was just curious about what you think of the model promotion program. I’m not too sure if I should do it or not and would love an opinion from someone more experienced. Thanks!
Hey Skye, that’s awesome! I actually haven’t covered the 5 Points model promotion program at all yet, but it’s probably similar to InternetModeling’s agent program where you can refer other models and make 10% of their earnings. Not sure about 5 Points, but Internet Modeling does not take the 10% from the model to pay their agents, they pay it out of their pocket.
I’ll double check to be sure, but I believe that’s something you can opt into if you want in the future once you’re more established. Hope that’s helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions along the way, and best of luck to you.
Cheers,
Angie
I checked with my agent. Models can certainly opt in if they chose not to enroll initially; however, they may not opt out after 60 days since at that point they consider it a business partnership that should be mutually beneficial. I would say it would probably be best to not opt in initially as a brand new model. Get your feet wet, learn the ropes, and if you want to take it further you can get in touch with your talent agent to enroll.
Hi Angie,
Great article. In your opinion, can webcam modeling be as lucrative for a male model as it is for women? I’ve been interested in modeling for some time now but wonder it’s worth it for a guy.
Thanks!
Addam
Hi Addam,
Short answer: yes!
I actually wrote more specifically about male webcam modeling in my aptly named article, Straight Male Webcam Modeling (article length answer lol). Basically, the two sites I’ve heard guys say they had the best time with were InternetModeling.com and Flirt4Free.com.
Gay models have it easiest, since the majority of your customers would be gay men. But regardless of your orientation you can totally make it work if you really want to. Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for stopping by!
Cheers,
Angie
The reviews you offer on your site are concise and thorough. New and experienced models can greatly benefit from the information you have compiled. Great job!
Hilda
Thank you very much for your feedback Hilda! All the best to you.
Angie
Very well written article! I honestly never knew The amount of time and effort it takes behind the scenes to get set up as a webcam model
Thank you Liam! I know it might look like it takes a lot of time and effort to get set up as a webcam model, but it’s actually pretty straightforward. Learning the ropes once you’re on cam can be a bit of a learning curve, which is why having a personal talent agent is such a huge bonus! Thanks very much for commenting.
It’s always interesting to read what happens behind-the-scenes! I find it fascinating! It;s great to know there’s an approval process before making the big bucks! Thanks for sharing this information!
Glad you enjoyed the review, although I’m not sure exactly what you mean by “it’s great to know there’s an approval process before making the big bucks…” Every cam site has an application for models to fill out, which is essentially to confirm the applicant is at least 18. At any rate, I appreciate your comment and thanks for stopping by! Cheers.
